Growing up in a Hispanic household, the kitchen was always the heart of our home. Some of my favorite memories are of sitting in the kitchen, watching my mom cook and seeing how much joy it brought her to feed the people she loved. In our family, food has always been more than just something you eat. It's a way of showing love, bringing people together, and creating memories.
That love for food stayed with me, and from a young age, baking became something that truly made me happy. There has always been something special about making something from scratch and watching someone's face light up after their first bite. It's a feeling that never gets old.
About a year ago, I started my sourdough journey, and what began as another baking adventure quickly grew into something more. Between my lifelong love for baking and the happiness that homemade treats bring to others, I decided to take a chance on something I'd always been passionate about. And that's how The Happy Loaf Bread Co. came to life.
At The Happy Loaf, everything is made from scratch, in small batches, with quality ingredients and lots of love. From our naturally fermented sourdough breads to our sweet treats, everything is freshly baked to order. We believe good baking takes time, care, and a little extra love. No mass production, no unnecessary preservatives, just homemade goodness.
